The first hour or so will be devoted to DAAL Member Updates; during the second hour we'll have a guest speaker or artist demonstration.

Guest Presenter Amy Neiwirth


Amy Neiwrth - Columbus Artist


Amy Neiwirth is a visual artist and art educator living and working in Columbus, Ohio. She designs jewelry and creates mixed-media artwork and her jewelry line, Sweet Stella Designs, was the winner of a 2012 "Best of Columbus" award through a reader's poll in the Columbus Alive, awarding her the title of "Best Brand Without A Storefront." Amy participates in several craft shows and artisan markets throughout the year, most notably the nationally-recognized Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival.

Amy has exhibited her colorful mixed-media artwork throughout Columbus and she is the winner of the 2011 Columbus Arts Festival 50th Anniversary commemorative print competition. Amy and her creations have been featured in the Columbus Dispatch, the Columbus Alive, (614) Magazine, the 200Columbus bicentennial magazine, and the Crafts Report magazine.

Amy is currently the art teacher at Columbus Torah Academy, where she has worked for the past seven years teaching the visual arts to students in grades K-7, 10 and 12. She aims to instill a love of art in her students and creates engaging lessons that enable students to learn art-making skills and concepts, art historical contexts, personal creative expression and communication, analysis and evaluation. Amy's students have exhibited their artwork at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the Bexley Public Library, the Congressional Art Competition, and the First Bexley Bank. In addition to teaching at CTA, Amy teaches religious school for 7th Grade students at Congregation Tifereth Israel and curates the atrium gallery at The Ohio State University Hillel. During the summers, Amy has guest-taught for several summer workshops, including the Wexner Center for the Arts, the Creative Art Studio, and Columbus Academy.

Amy holds a BFA in Painting & Drawing and an MA in Art Education, both from The Ohio State University. She is a member of several local arts groups, including the Ohio Art League, the Crafty Cotillion, and CAW: Creative Arts of Women. Amy is also a Columbus Jewish Federation community board member.

DAAL Website Members Section

All paid members have an artist's profile on the DAAL Website where your name and portfolio will appear on the Artists - Member page.  From this page, site visitors may click and go directly to your DAAL Profile page and / or to your own website. It's included in your DAAL Membership Dues.

Karen has the Gallery notebook which contains photos of each exhibit space and the approximate number of paintings/photos that can be shown at each of the locations. She is glad to share information about the exhibit spaces and welcomes new exhibitors. Exhibit opportunities range from space for 2-3 items to 10- 12 items.
